As apostle was going on preaching, he was ascending, because even before he started praying, from his teaching I felt the way I feel if I pray for long in the place of prayer. And my life is not the same, I can feel it, I have travelled, navigated being EDIFIED. We give God all the glory and honor for His servant. More grace apostle

This is a teaching only born of experience and of intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Very powerful!

My Notes: Levels of Intimacy with the Holy Spirit ||APOSTLE AROME OSAYI || RCN CARDIFF || 24TH JUNE 2024

Introduction
Theme: Exploring the journey of intimacy with the Holy Spirit, recognising the stages and depth of spiritual growth available to believers.
Key Scriptures:
Ezekiel 47:1-5 (Levels of spiritual depth symbolised by water depth)
John 4:24 (Worship in Spirit and truth)
Psalms 36:9 (Illumination from divine life)
Acts 1:8 (Receiving power through the Holy Spirit)
Purpose: To equip believers to deepen their relationship with the Holy Spirit, move beyond superficial experiences, and align fully with God's will and power.
Main Teachings
1. The Necessity of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit ushers believers into the realm of spiritual realities and the Kingdom of God.
Without the Holy Spirit:
Spiritual realities remain inaccessible.
Worship becomes superficial and disconnected from God.
The Holy Spirit imparts:
Consciousness of God’s Kingdom.
Power to make deliberate choices for God's will.
2. Levels of Spiritual Depth
Based on Ezekiel 47:1-5, the prophet describes varying depths of water symbolising levels of engagement with the Holy Spirit:
Ankle-Level: Limited influence, minimal resistance to flesh.
Knee-Level: Requires effort; prayer begins to produce noticeable results.
Waist-Level: Significant spiritual resistance; requires discipline and structured movement in the Spirit.
Overwhelming Depth: Complete surrender; the Holy Spirit fully drives the believer's life.
3. Barriers to Spiritual Growth
The Flesh:
Resists the influence of the Spirit.
Aligns with the enemy to prevent intimacy with the Holy Spirit.
Self:
Promotes self-reliance and hinders submission to God’s will.
Must be crucified to align with spiritual disciplines.
4. Spiritual Exercises to Cultivate Intimacy
Speaking in Tongues:
A foundational spiritual discipline, accessible at will.
Builds inner strength and aligns the believer with God’s Spirit.
Regular Prayer and Fasting:
Weakens the flesh.
Strengthens the spirit to respond to God in crises.
Studying Scripture:
Allows the Holy Spirit to illuminate divine truths beyond intellectual understanding.
5. Activating Spiritual Senses
Knowing of Revelation:
The Holy Spirit communicates through an inner witness.
Sight of Affection:
Spiritual sight reveals God's workings and plans.
Hearing of Faith:
Recognising the voice of God in one’s thoughts.
Taste of Discernment:
Spiritual discernment to distinguish truth from deception.
6. The Role of Hardships
Trials serve to break the dominance of the soul over the spirit.
Suffering aligns believers to depend on the Holy Spirit and foster humility.
Philippians 3:3: "We have no confidence in the flesh."
Illustrations and Examples
Ezekiel’s Vision of Water:
Illustrates levels of intimacy and spiritual depth.
Personal responsibility to choose the depth of spiritual engagement.
Apostle’s Journey:
Example of Apostle Paul's experience of despair (2 Corinthians 1:8-9) showing God's power in weakness.
Resignation Testimony:
A believer's act of faith, obeying the Holy Spirit despite financial uncertainties.
God’s provision was evidenced through surprising financial breakthroughs.
Practical Applications
Commit to Spiritual Disciplines:
Begin a routine of daily prayer and speaking in tongues.
Dedicate time to fasting to weaken the flesh and heighten spiritual awareness.
Seek Deeper Revelation:
Study the Word prayerfully, relying on the Holy Spirit for understanding.
Practice discernment in everyday decisions by consulting the Holy Spirit.
Embrace Trials as Training:
View hardships as opportunities for spiritual growth.
Use difficulties to shift dependence from self to the Holy Spirit.
Cultivate Spiritual Senses:
Observe and respond to spiritual signals like visions, inner convictions, or prophetic impressions.
My Key Takeaways
Intimacy with the Holy Spirit requires deliberate, disciplined pursuit.
Spiritual growth is incremental, requiring believers to leave the comfort of "ankle-deep" faith.
The Holy Spirit’s presence is accessible but must be activated and nurtured.
Aligning with the Spirit involves self-denial, dependence on God, and spiritual sensitivity.
Conclusion
Deepening intimacy with the Holy Spirit transforms every aspect of a believer's life. By actively seeking God through prayer, fasting, and obedience, we can experience His overwhelming presence and guidance. Let us commit to the process of spiritual growth, moving from superficial levels of faith to the depths where God's Spirit drives our lives entirely.

It's amazing when you hear the experience God mercifully grants in the place of prayer being put in words by another like Apostle does at 1:49:01. Such an encouragement this is !
