  Those two kids who didn't accept the gift..would have got into lot of trouble with their parents if they had shown up  home with an unlikely story that a foreigner gave a push scooter to them for free😂😂

  That celebration is ear piercing ceremony for the youngest kid in that home, the crowd in the road with busting crackers are bringing gifts (ladies with things in their hand and heads). Those are close relatives to that family. Those things in the entrance of the home are gifted by maternal uncle of the kid, which is traditionally followed. That ceremony is traditional in tamil communities, these are the people from tamilnadu settled in kerala decades back to work in tea estates. Now formed their own community in kerala. It is just normal in India.
