I’m a Christian, and I have a love-hate relationship with your videos. I love them because, for the first time, I don’t feel crazy for questioning things, I’m finally realizing I’m not alone in that. But I also hate them, because they’re forcing me to confront the hard truths about what I believe. And that’s not easy. Still, thank you.

I had my annual physical last week, and my doctor and I discussed my depression. I told him I lost my faith, and it's crazy how positively that has affected my mental health. I don't think I'm worthless and deserving of eternal damnation anymore. What a weight to lift off your shoulders! My doctor is a Christian, but he said, "I'm glad you've landed in a belief, or not, that is helping you mentally." I appreciated that, because I know as a Christian he wasn't exactly happy to hear me say I left the faith but he's also professional enough to care about my wellbeing more than my faith. If only the same could be said of Yahweh!

You’re right. The fear of hell is a tool to control the faithful. It is also a weapon for people to justify their hate or perceived superiority of others. So sad.
