Does anyone else consistently dream of a central mall world with seemingly has endless stores and floors? Always busy it's a hub to other dream worlds or locations?

malls were the ultimate "3rd places". not work, not home, but was social and totally awesome . and they took it all away from us

The early 2000s. Little did we know that era would be the most joyful pure bliss.

The thumbnail / image at 32:05 is not a mall, it's a children's museum in North Korea. The green shape near the bottom is a map of the Korean peninsula, and the rocket near the escalators has Korean text and the NK flag on it.

Watching shopping malls die in real time is a certain kind of pain that only our generation of Y2K and 80s through 90s kids would know, we're literally watching a space where we as teenagers and kids would go to to relax and shop and have fun at the arcades and toy shops and all that other good shit. But due to online shopping and just the necessity for less physical stores....... God please take me back, I miss going to the mall so fucking much.

omg the photo from the 16:20 song is from a defuncted store named Dorian's here in Mexicali! located in the Plaza La Cachanilla mall, being the parfums zone the one displayed on the photo. no edition involved, as you see it is how it used to look, the entire store! i loved that store, it had that 80s jungle atmosphere, and a salad buffet on the 2nd floor!!! we got so sad when it became a sears store and lost all of that architecture :( It was a living time machine from the early 80s!
