We don't know there's a problem because our spouse doesn't tell us there is we find out after we catch them and suddenly it's our fault because we didn't know there was a problem

Often the problems are excusses magnified in order to justify their actions.

Maybe it’s because there’s something broken in the person who would betray their spouse.

Whatever "problems" exist in the marriage there is no excuse for cheating , if you can't honour your vows get out !

Why do betrayed spouses often sense something is wrong—but struggle to see the problem clearly? 💔 Love, trust, and manipulation can make red flags easy to dismiss. As a private investigator, I’d say: don’t ignore patterns just because you want to believe everything is okay. Sometimes your intuition notices what your heart isn’t ready to accept.

My wife never said there was an issue. If she had I would have worked damn hard to fix it! Instead she had a 3 year affair!😢

A house (relationship) that is infested with termites (sex addiction, affair). One fine day there is a loose board and the board is looked at closely....a crisis is discovered.

Who in the relationship knew the damage was being done all along, the unfaithful one. And continued anyway.

That's why, the betrayed rarely knows anything is amiss until the floorboards collapse.

Anyone here watching who is the betrayed remember this woman makes a career off of your calamity. You didn't see the crisis bc it WAS KEPT FROM YOU

The problems that my ex-wife & the AP were much worse even before I found out. She had to make a choice, and she chose to file for divorce because no matter how bad the relationship with her AP got, the one thing problem that she didn’t have was shame. She could never look at me the same and even though I tried to deny it she straight told me “You’ll never trust me, respect me or look at me the same” People that betray you, for the most part tend to avoid you.

That was definitely one of the things I was mad about that I was so far behind. As soon as I realized there’d be work he couldn’t push off into me I knew it was over and sadly 9 months and he still is putting his ego first while playing financial abuse games too so I’m having a heck of a time trying to leave and find a place for me and my animals. It’s time though cause it’s both the best and worst thing that’s ever happened to me. Hope and changing my behavior because anything I came to him with got pushed back into me and changing everything a person could including tone, timing, keeping it all to myself, doing it all myself was never going to make him treat me right. Reading the text to her was soul crushing. The person I had been waiting for, doing for and hoping would show up never did for me but definitely did for her. Without help and 22 years of habit, I can’t stay and he refuses to want something better at least with me.
