  I had many  discussions with Keith whilst working at Cosworth. He was the most amazing engineer I have ever met before or since. A deep understanding of engineering  and reams of calculations on paper came forth all from basic principles. Very sadly missed.

  Brian Lohnes videos are always great and this one is no exception. I tend to give up on most long form videos for various reasons but these videos always keep my watching for the entire video. Clear, acurate information with no repeating and no fluff.

  I remember from the pre-CAD days having to turn in projects with 50 or 100 drawings in them. It was torture. I can't even imagine having the productivity to design 3,000 parts on a drafting table in a few months. As well as doing or managing every other process going on at the same time. Then again, he didn't have phone notifications dinging in his ear every 90 seconds the whole time. It was a bit easier.

  I just want to stop and thank you for doing all this research, and making such an incredibly comprehensive historical documentary about something as obscure as a V8 engine that was dominant 40 years ago! we may be living through the peak years of Youtube documentaries like this. &nbsp;I feel like we may be on the cusp of Ai corrupting this small corner of the internet. &nbsp;I hope I&apos;m wrong, but either way I&apos;m glad there are people out here making top notch, well researched, technical information rich content. &nbsp;keep up the good work!

  Mike Costin&apos;s older brother Frank was a racecar designer for Lotus and others. He designed the Lotus 11, one of my favorite racecars. How can you not love that shape? For the 50s that was super advanced.

  Brian is a great storyteller and a national treasure while documenting so much of history that would not be done and possibly archived or more than likely thrown out.<br>Got to love that sound especially at peak screaming RPM!! &nbsp;Especially when everything&apos;s working on it and it just sounds so good and it is just singing!

  Having raced (as a fabricator-mechanic-crew chief) in professional Road Racing for decades the DFV and all of its cousins is far and away my absolute favorite engine of all time. I ha a fantastic black and white laminated poster of that engine by itself given to me by John who is a Kiwi and owned six of those engines and leased them out to customers here in the states and every year he would take a few home with him and rebuild them and the return for the next vintage racing season here in the state and he did this for about fifteen years and finally retired but kept one engine for himself but sold the rest to his best customers what a way to make a living oh and BTW he never saw a winter in those fifteen years!
