Probably the best Cunard dress code summary and advice online!! Thanks Fraser. <br>To emphasize, many people sail on Cunard to dress up a bit and also, enjoy having the opportunity to elevate dressing up for a voyage. It’s not like we are doing this very often these days. <br>The atmosphere is not stuffy nor overly posh so make an effort and enjoy.

The reason we’re switching to Cunard is that we DO want the required dress code. The last cruise on Carnival was ‘Walmart at sea’! Thanks for the reassurance that hopefully we’ve made the right decision. We’re going in the Queen Elizabeth and looking forward to it. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that for some people a vacation is not having to adhere to any requirements or restrictions and that is fine, it’s just not what I am looking for on my cruise.

A good narration of the dress codes. We did 3 weeks last year in the Med on QV - having never done Gala, Formal or Dress to Impress Nights on cruises before - we really did dress well. And Loved It. Can't wait to do it again next year on the QE.

We have cruised over 30 times and in May we are going on our 1st Cunard! I am very excited to experience the more “sophisticated “ cruise experience. Your tips are amazing and you are absolutely adorable. Keep up the good and very useful work.

On my first crossing on the Queen Mary 2 in 2019, I saw a gentleman turned away from the Britannia Dining Room for not wearing a jacket. But on more recent times aboard the ship, I have seen a lot of men without jackets. In fact, last year on embarkation and disembarkation days, things were even casual as people had either not have the opportunity to unpack their dinner clothes or had packed them so that luggage could be collected. We enjoy the theme night. Once booked, use your booking number to check your daily calendar. That will show you the gala nights and their themes. Themes may not be decided until closer to you sailing. So, check back, periodically.

Thank you for your video. My husband and I are considering a Cunard cruise, and the dressing up part definitely has us concerned, as neither is us owns clothing for a gala night. At least now we have an idea of what to shop for.
