Thank you all so much for watching and for your support! It’s been a really difficult topic to open up about and a hard story to share, but one I think is really important. I hope this encourages you to be kind to yourself and that it’s ok to ask for help. With love, from Jess

I can't believe this is the same Jess I've been watching week in and out. I never had any idea about the insurmountable weight you have to carry from growing into adulthood without parents only to lose your father figure in the most unexpected turn of event. Yet, here you are consistently showing up as a very positive, energetic and kind person in this channel. It's very brave of you to become so vulnerable sharing your grieving journey in front of us while running 42 marathons when most of us can only dream of running just 1 marathon in a lifetime. Thank you, you're such an inspiration!

PS: Big shout out to the whole Running Channel team, this is definitely an award-winning level of production!

Whilst I appreciate the latest Garmin or Apple Watch review, or listening to the podcast to find out what Rick has been up to… this is by far the best thing you’ve done. Well done, Jess 👏

I know this kind of grief.

Last year, I ran the New York City Marathon in memory of a close friend who passed away far too young, and we raised €42,195 for the hospice that cared for him in his final days.

Today, on the train to Berlin for my next marathon, I watched this incredibly emotional video.

Jess, your story is deeply moving and truly inspiring. Thank you for sharing it and for showing how grief, love and running can somehow become connected.

This one really stayed with me. 💛

All the best for everyone feeling similar and running a marathon this fall!

Every time you talk about the hard stuff, you open up a box of chaos. However, each time you speak about it, the box is getting more and more organized. It's going to get easier, but grief will never leave totally. Don't spend too much time being anxious or scared, it's human to overthink but anxiety only exists in the brain. You're an amazing person with a gold heart, keep doing what you do!!!

I never knew why, but I'd always gravitated towards Jess as my favourite on this channel. But my god, this film has absolutely cemented that position for me. You are incredible, and I can't even comprehend the how I would deal with all the challenges that life has sent your way. You're an inspirational woman Jess. God damn tear in my eye here x

(ps, the moment of stopping the watch mid-hug at the end of the last one was so relatable to all of us runners)
