Also, regarding the serial number, I’ve had “B-Stock” guitars with serial numbers removed by shops, probably because the manufacturer told them to destroy them but they wanted to make a profit instead. Just my guess

the reason for that specific bridge and not a hard tail bridge is just simple:

Mick Thompson(Interview): I like the feel of a floyd rose in my palm but i don't use it at all so i just lock it.

The aerial # is done that way because the guitar was sold as a Blem (blemished) model or b stock. Your all good bro, no need to worry.

I have the Jackson and I love it. The bridge actually made me fall in love with the feeling of a floyd bridge. I get it now.
ALSO: FYI about the neck, I saw in a video that Mick brought his old King V from the early 90s and wanted them to replicate THAT neck shape onto his signature.

As a guitar player of 30 years I don’t think I’ve ever thought of anyone ever scratching the serial number off a guitar

The brown sticker usually means its a factory 2nd. All major manufacturers do this. Factory seconds usually have minor blemishes. Paint imperfections. Colors dont match perfectly. I know a guy that bought a thousand dollar acoustic for $300 because of the paint. I wouldn't sweat it

3:26 mick wanted it that way because he likes the feel of it and uses it to rest his picming hand on he has done that alot actually he did it before he had a signature he locked the bridge down

I used to have the Ibanez MTM and it was a beast.

In the flash of the Reverb ad, it had the orange serial decal from MIRC on it. It's a refurbished unit. It's absolutely a thing, I have several. The removal of serial number is so warranty claims don't happen.

Sucks that it might be a stolen guitar but you did it great justice by properly fixing and maintenance of the guitar. You are a good person my friend. 👊🤘
