  A wonderful symphony! Still the most imposing, heartbreaking, revolutionary music for me comes at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vchBbXlMEdo&amp;t=1340">22:20</a> with the Scherzo. A totally unexpected evolution of this movement, and therefore so great. As if I am transported to another dimension!

  Excellent performance of Bruckner&apos;s Ninth Symphony. In fact, it is the most spiritual of all his symphonies, although in all of them his dedication was always to his beloved God. This symphony . represents almost an earthly farewell to meet the deity he loved all his life. Unfortunately, he was never able to finish it; the fourth movement remained incomplete with around 400 bars. Moreover, the composer never heard it during his lifetime, as it was premiered seven years later of &nbsp;Bruckner&apos;s death.<br>It is a strange coincidence with Mahler&apos;s Ninth Symphony, which is one of the most beautiful &quot;farewell&quot; ever written.<br>The jump of 9th interval in the strings resembles the jump of an 8th interval &nbsp;in Mahler&apos;s 9th Symphony in the beginning of the final movement, &nbsp;After all, Bruckner was in certain way, one of Mahler&apos;s mentors. <br>Beautiful performance by Simon Rattle, although I would have liked a slightly slower tempo. <br>I saw him around 3 OR 4 years ago at the Carnegie Hall in NY interpreting the Mahler 6th symphony , it was also great , i respect Rattle so much specially &nbsp;y Mahler, my favorite composer<br>BRAVO !   Despite of having been almost completely ignored in his own time this symphony by Mr Bruckner posesses qualities that surpass many contemporaries.
