I remember the first time I saw my first episode of Fawlty Towers, early 70’s. A friend of mine and I were literally rolling on the floor holding onto our stomachs and shrieking. I no longer roll on the floor, but I still shriek with laughter and have to hold onto my stomach to keep my once 3 broken ribs from breaking again.
It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve seen them. They never fail. Truly timeless. 😂❤ Prunella Scales—genius. At 93 you had a long run. Thanks to video and film you’ll go on causing people to laugh themselves practically into unconsciousness. You’ll always be gloriously dangerous. What a legacy❤😂

Communication Problems is my all-time favorite Fawlty Towers episode. All Joan Sanderson has to do is walk into the scene, and I'm immediately overcome with breath-stopping, helpless laughter.

Fawlty Towers is one of the greatest British comedies. I remember watching these on VHS tapes as a kid at my grandparents, with the John Cleese interview before each one.
He could run the hotel properly if it weren't for all the guests

When Basil hia Manuel on the head with a frying pan, John Cleese grabbed a real frying pan instead of a prop one, as he could not see clearly in the darkness. So the sound of pan hitting Manuel's head was actually a real sound and not added in post-production. Andrew Sachs claimed later that he didn't remember any of it and that he was possibly briefly knocked out during the shot where Basil is sitting on his back. Luckely, Sachs suffered only minor injuries and did not miss a single day of shooting, but he claimed that he had heavy headaches because of it for several weeks.
