Charles Dance is 99% responsible for Tywin’s likability.

If he was played by any other actor, people wouldn’t have fallen into his propaganda this easily.

People can’t convince me that ending slavery is a symptom of being a psychopath like what kind of logic is that

Jon coming back as a much meaner bastard is exactly what I hope for, and yeah if anyone is going mad it's the guy who gets resurrected after being murdered by his own men and warging into a wolf.
That "They Not Like Us" reference was priceless hahahah.

I'm doing a re-read of AGOT rn and Catelyn's turn to Lady Stoneheart is set up really well! She often has thoughts of violence or vengeance when it comes to protecting her children. So those strong, deeply held feelings of vengeance being the only thing to linger in her makes sense (and is deeply tragic).

the targaryen madness line is clearly Jaehaerys II's revenge for being excluded from the show

People actually buy into Tywin's propaganda and its crazy. A huge aspect of Ned and Tywin's characters is to show that Neds way is the right way because of the impact it has on the people around you. Nobody is marching off to die for tywin's kids. Nobody mourns him, his family is screwed up because of him. His house name, the thing he cares so much about, is cursed and spit on, people hate them and try to destroy them as soon as hes gone

Dany: wants a family, peace, home, adventure, hates ruling but is obligated, was never prepared to rule but only to be married off or marry her brother
fandom: she must go crazy when she finds out that there’s this other kid who is potentially family and can also share that burden of being one of the last Targaryens and kill him
MAKE IT MAKE SENSE he is literally a dream come true to her

This is such refreshing content in the ASOIAF fandom. I don't think I've ever seen anyone discuss the double standards with Daeneys character, let alone a male creator! Brilliant video
