  There was no one like Joan Rivers. A comic genius. Brilliant at what she did. She was incredibly intelligent too. I had the honour of seeing her live three times in Melbourne.

  I saw her perform live in Vancouver, and she was so hilarious that I couldn&apos;t breathe. &nbsp;You&apos;d still be laughing at one joke and she&apos;d fire off another so quickly that you&apos;d had no time to inhale. &nbsp;I nearly blacked out, from lack of oxygen. &nbsp;After a while, the curtain behind her opened, and there was an orchestra sitting there, ready to play her off. &nbsp;When she realized what people were looking at behind her, she told them to close the curtain again, because she wanted to do MORE -- and we got another 45 minutes!<br><br>I heard later that, when she got back to her dressing room, there was beautiful floral arrangement from an anonymous fan. &nbsp;She called the florist to find out who it was from -- and when she got back to New York, she phoned him from her kitchen to thank him personally. &nbsp;He couldn&apos;t believe it.
