  The thought of the first girl, ishi, having no one else to go home to since the deranged lunatic killed her parents and grandparents really saddens me. I hope she’s doing well

  It really sucks that a bunch of these fugitives only became wanted, rather than caught (or in Obara&apos;s case, exonerated), in the first place due to police incompetence and corruption.

  The men who were responsible for what happened to that young girl, Junko Furuta, barely served any time (some none at all) and still walk around free. The cannibal guy who made his own cookbook, walked around free until he finally died, may he rot in hell. Yakuza has it&apos;s fingers in everybody&apos;s pie.

  By far the absolute worst part of that first story would be the decades worth of mental anguish over never truly feeling safe, not knowing whether or not your family’s assailant is lurking around a corner. Wondering if he will ever make an unexpected return to “finish the job”. Heck, not even knowing if he’s even alive still sounds mentally and spiritually exhausting. I would have found the temptation to leave the country near impossible in her position.<br><br>I hope she’s doing well and is leading a normal life, however impossible or improbable that reality may be.
