Personally, 5510 is preferable. Why? It's easier to clean with a wet wipe going down only vertical-line grid, without the horizontal lines interfering.

IMO, the grill on the 5510 is more difficult to clean and restricts air more than the 5520. Maybe that is why they came out with the 5520.

I have a Winix 5510 and it’s great! Quiet and powerful. Mine is made in Thailand.

I’ve had three Winix C535 hepas since 2021 and they’re still going strong and working well! Love Winix.

Question about both the 5510 & 5520: if there is a power outage, do they turn back on at the same settings (and restart) automatically when power is restored? We live on a boat with a 30-amp circuit so popping the breaker happens frequently in the winter and its important to us that devices resume their function without manually turning them back on. TIA! 😊

My 5510 was purchased in July 2025, and it was made in Korea.

At 4:13 the winix 5520 comparison image says 3.67 dBa at speed 2, probably a typo, its 43.67?
