  This movie made me so emotional because of my personal story.<br>I was friend with this guy for over 7 years and we gradually realized we loved each other more than just friends.<br>We got together and quickly decided to get married. That was the beginning of my misery.<br>For almost 2 years, I saw his family actively fight for us not to get married because of cultural differences (they wanted him to marry his cousin).<br>I waited, I prayed, I supported him throughout without ever judging his family for their pressure.<br>Unfortunately, I saw that he was unable to make a clear choice as the pressure was getting to him and he constantly made excuses to delay our marriage.<br>I finally chose myself and ended it....unlike Phil, he never fought to get me back and gave up.<br>As painful as it is, I think I made the best decision. No woman should ever feel less and a man who really wants you will fight for you!<br>May God put us on the path of men who put us first and make us their priority. Ameen 🤲🏿

  Philip should have realised his mother&apos;s ludicrous, selfish and controlling motive when she made the statement: &quot;See, if you marry Yemi eh, she will not take you away from me&quot;. The way these mothers, especially the single or widowed ones, get so attached to their sons, especially if they have just one son, and do all they can to manipulate their sons&apos; relationships in order to continue controlling them isn&apos;t only selfish and weird but sometimes demonic as well. May the Lord open the eyes of such sons to their mothers&apos; manipulations; and also deliver &nbsp;such mothers🙏. I so liked how both Cece and Yemi demonstrated that they knew their worth and so wouldn&apos;t settle for anything less.

  I like the person that wrote this movie. She handled the situation in the most mature way possible. There is no other way to handle someone that is tribalistic. The only way forward is to leave. The guy has shown that he has no boundaries with his mum too. These are the signs women should not ignore.
