I grew my avocados by rapping it it wet paper towel and put in in a zip lock bag in the window sill and it worked perfectly I did this years ago and now every year I get cados!

Ideally you need an A type and a B type Avocado for maximum fruit!

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vMB__6VmB3g&t=78">1:18</a> you can also buy cheap glass vases that are specially designed for the purpose. I keep my seeds in a wet paper towels in a ziplock until they grow a root and then transfer to a vase. Within a few weeks they have roots and a stalk and can be transplanted. The only advantage is that they are not disfigured by the holes made by the toothpicks.
