This sounds like a lenghty ad for Mike Green at Wealthion.

Scott doing $4B increase in bond buybacks. What’s the sound? Oh, don’t worry, that’s just the sound of a drop in the ocean 💧🌊

Scott was VERY critical of the prior Treasury Secretary…was he wrong then? Or is it only wrong to criticize him for doing much of the same (and much more hands on) things as the former Secretary he criticized? Seems to be a lot of bias here.

@9:30ish. The issue isn’t that Scott is getting creative and managing expenses. It’s more that by managing the expenses it’s giving a green light for fiscal irresponsibility. This is like refinancing your long term mortgage into an introductory rate credit card so you can go buy a new SUV…..oh and also maybe a flame thrower to set your neighbors house on fire.

15 September, to find enough buyers to clear the $13 billion supply of 20y T-Bonds, the auction yield reached 5.42%. This is the highest yield for 20year bonds since 1986. There was a 2.0 basis-point tail, lowest ever foreign uptake and primary dealers had to absorb nearly 17% of the auction.

Green claims Bessent is just 'doing his job' and the fault lies on those that enact the fiscal policy. Well... albeit the wars or tariffs, Bessent has done nothing but CHAMPION Trump's disastrous fiscal policy. Bessent isn't just 'managing the debt' he is actively managing the Trump playbook and literally front running the markets to ensure the bulk of damage isn't done before the midterms but landing directly after. This is textbook politicization of the Treasury, not to mention the unprecedented corruption Bessent is likely officiating with Trump.

Angry? Who’s angry? I’m not angry. I understand that the government has to spend our money starting wars everywhere and then make us pay to rebuild all the nations we bombed. I understand that our government has to invite all the world’s poor to come here and live off taxpayers while letting them rip us off. I understand why our government has to create inflation so Blackrock can buy our foreclosed homes when we can’t pay increased property taxes. Angry? Who’s angry? I’m not angry. 🤪

The US is not shrinking its debt, that's simply a lie. They are temporarily saving on interest by frontloading the issuance, which basically means that as a borrower the US can only qualify for an adjustable rate mortgage.
