This video made me want to cry because the distance between today and those people in this video suddenly vanished and they seemed so close and personal. I felt like I was right there with them. How beautiful to get to share a moment with them.
I wish I had known every one of these proud, independent people.
You do a marvelous job of bringing them to life with the utmost respect.
Many of my fathers ancestors came from northern Wales and I love the Welsh side of my heritage.
Excellent video!!!!
I can't express how much I enjoyed it!!!
❤

To think they had no idea that we are looking into their eyes and they are with us. You truly have one of the best channels on YouTube. 👍🏻❤️

My Great Grandmother lived in New Street Llanfair Caeranion, on a few acres going down to the Banwy. She was born roughly in 1880.Her husband bred horses and corgi,/jacknrussell cross dogs. They used to cart by horse wool to Dinas Mawddy where it was washed. She lived to be 104.in her 80s she kept house and a big vegie garden . We called her Mam in Llanfair and often vidited her. She had a hige kitchen and pine table scribbed clean. A massive iron wall stove. With irish stew for us kids . Her terrier was called Busy and I loved him.
There was a massive oak dresser in another room. My memories are going back over 60 years ago. I also are very robust and still work at 73. Welsh middle class peasants lived long active lives.
Our extended family were farm contractors and timber contractors Journey men employment. Odd jobs like Hedging. Timber falling. Hay cutting with a sycthe. They would find work and were honest and valued reputation. They liked a drink, singing and telling stories.
