I am terrified of an outcome. I know I have no control over it. However, I am terrified if God doesn't intervene and help that it will destroy someone's life whom I love deeply.

Alanon helped me with trying to control everything on my life, and the lives of my family. I learned a slogan in Alanon, Don't try to prevent a crisis, because sooner or layet it will happen again. You can't prevent the inevitable. Problem solved. People have to make responsible choices or they will learn to.

I needed to hear this, I am struggling with the same issues. I have given the Lord my husband, his addiction has taken a toll on me, raised my kids as a single parent as he provide financially. My relationship with our grown children is far gone. I am placed as the parent that didn't get care for them, but I don't blame them. It was just too much for them. I thought I was in control but I was so wrong. But know as a new follower, I am so exhausted and tired and feel so empty. As he is slowly dying of this addiction to grief a love one is one of the hardest thing I can see, without feeling any hurt, anger and resentment. 😢
