  The one guy with all the scamming excuses-"I got a friend", "He's coming to pay you", "Let me go get him" etc. The employees handled it well, not letting him leave and dismissing his BS.

  I managed a restaurant in Boston some years ago and a party of 13 teens tried to dine and dash and I followed them to a parking lot and called the police before they could leave and they were all arrested and their parents came in to pay the bill and then had to go to the jail and bail them out. The worst part was the waitress never got a tip so every employee in the restaurant took $5 out of their pocket and gave it to her. She had just lost her baby and was about to lose her apartment because she spent all her money on doctors bills. People don’t see who they are hurting when they do something like this.

  Make them pay as soon as they order, then take the receipt to the kitchen and have them cook it up, but nothing leaves the kitchen without the receipt

  Yes, we should pay right after ordering and before preparing the order. This way, all of those types of people would not come to restaurants allowing the rest of us to enjoy our meal.
