The fact I knew Texas station as a kid and now it’s demolished it makes me sad.

Some of those local casinos are the best. At least you got to enjoy and will have those memories. Thanks for showing us.

Texas Station was my favorite...saw alot of movies there. And a few times we'd eat there with my colleagues. It's a shame. Thank you for getting that footage when you did! Rancho won't ever look the same.

Worked security at Fiesta rancho for a while, fun experience. I left to join the Army shortly after and heard the placed closed during my deployment. Great memories, thanks for this video.

This was a beautiful tribute. Even though we never stayed at Texas station or Fiesta Ranch we made a visit to both every time we came in from Ohio. Well Done Dale and Paula!

It's good to have the insights of two Las Vegas residents who saw the city as more than just a tourist destination. There's something very touching about two people who have to say goodbye to places they loved for the comfort and feeling of home. I feel for you.

"Community Casinos" for sure with the ice rink, theater and bowling alley. We'll never see their like again. Thanks for taking the time to let us know about the closings.

this breaks my heart. I used to go to the Regal movie theater all the time when I was little. From 1999-2004. So many amazing memories in that casino. The arcades, food court and I even got to be in the child care place which was super fun. So sad to see this casino close down :(

I was talking to a security guard at Fiesta Henderson and she told me it was eerie in the casino since nobody was there. The slot machines would talk to themselves for instance one would say we've got a winner and then another would say better luck next time. Lol I guess the machines were bored ;)

I came today because I knew you give these two casinos a proper goodbye. I have lots of wonderful memories with my late father at both properties. In a way I feel like part of me has died. The Fiesta when it first opened had an excellent buffet with real BBQ and was often voted in Las Vegas Advisor's top ten. Of course we would have a 2/1 coupon and then use our points to pay for the balance. At one point Fiesta had the best single deck game in town. I would play the dollar 9/6 JoB progressive bank of machines when the game went positive. My dad I would joke when we would see mother and daughter with one hand playing video poker and the other hand eating a McDonald's breakfast sandwich. We would say "now those are some serious gamblers." At Texas I remember the Feast Buffet with an array of different chili's. Austin's Steakhouse was excellent with great moderate pricing. We enjoyed many meals at the oyster bar using a half price coupon and of course using our points to pay the balance. These blue-collar casinos would bring in locals two to three times a week to the Feast Buffet Maybe not high rollers, but consistent, loyal quarter players. The Feast Buffet customers built Station Casinos. Now I feel the company is turning it's back on these very customers. Again, thanks for the proper goodbye to a couple of old friends.

Those local places are a comfort, a home away from home! So I am sorry you lost your home base places to decompress and relax!
