I have played the flute now for 72 years. It is a lifetime skill, a true gift from God and I love it❣️I play each Sunday in my church and I am sure many churches would welcome this gift. It is a beautiful connection between me and the Lord. May God bless you, too❣️🎶James Galway’s truly the finest ever, a true blessing and he has such
wonderful humility.

I am 81 now and I play concerts
with the attitude I learnt from Jimmy, Just enjoy yourself and the listeners get it. Long live Sir Jimmy.

I was privileged to meet James Galway in 1977 when I was a 14 year old novice flautist. I still have that same inspiration and admiration nearly half a century later. The man is a legend in his own lifetime and one I will always have the greatest admiration for.

The last time I saw Galway he did 4 encores. He loves to play. He couldn't stop. He's a joyful player AND person

I've enjoyed and looked up to Sir Galway since I was in 6th grade. I'm 55 now. I've seen him a few times and gotten to meet him and chat a bit. He's a wonderful human being.

Noow aged seventy nine i still have my James Galway silver flute and still fet enjoyment from the sounds it can make with a little help from me.
This is the man who set me off down that path, and its good to know that he still can make this instrument sing a song like a bird, along with his amusing way of dealing with life.
Sir James, you have my gratitude and admiration long may you play on.

It was one of my greatest joys to step into the very back of the 2,200 seat entertainment theater with amazing acoustics, were I worked and listen to Sir James Galloway's rehearsal. Never, ever did I think I'd of been seen or heard. I was so lost in listening to him play it was a few long seconds before I realized he had stopped. I looked at him & he waved me to him. So nervous, excited and thinking, "I'm so fired but wow, so worth it". He smiles and just says, " lass, why are you crying?'" I didn't even realize I had tears streaming down my face from hearing him play! I was clutching one of his CD's, he asked if I'd like that signed. I don't even remember what I said, maybe just nodded, lol. I treasure that CD to this day. He nvr told anyone that I know of, I still had my job. ;)

I played a couple of concerts where Galway was soloist, pied piper fantasy and Mozart I think. Absolutely remarkable. Unbelievable sound, technique, he knows exactly what he wants from the orchestra. And off stage a very personable character. Remarkable musician, with a remarkable career. Endless stories!
