📚the full switch is in the book → becomevellora.com

if you study harder than everyone and the calm girl still tops it without stressing, you already know it: school stopped feeling like a fair fight. it was never talent. school grades you on 10 skills it never actually taught you. skill 1 (fùpán, the debrief) is the one that quietly turns the other nine into a system.

For me if you are addicted to tiktok, youtube, insta like me and u have an urge "oh for 5 mins il scroll, a deserve a break" what I did was physically shake my head and say aloud "no" im being so serious, and i would close it immediately, ik its boring in the moment, but after the test, after the exam than you will have all the time in the world. I got 99 in maths, and 100 in science, trust me ik ball, and you just need to put in the effort

Bro I just used this some tricks (bcuz I forgot the others) and I finished a WHOLE CHAPTER OF MATHS!! Thank you sissy!! And the main tricks I used are -
1) Shut down laptop/ phone/ tab whatever and study from book.
2) While reading, if you find smth hard then say it from mouth (not in mind).
3) After reading write everything on one single page (no extra pages allowed).
4) Then recite to yourself everything like you're the teacher. Teach the whole 1 page to a wall, window, bird or anything, just teach like the one you're explaining to is DUMB and is gonna fail.

The 10 Chinese Study Skills:

1. Yùxí (Previewing) (2:00): Skim upcoming lessons 10 minutes beforehand to identify confusing points, so the actual class serves as a reinforcement.
2. The One-Tab Hour (2:40): Protect your focus by removing distractions (like phones) to ensure your study session is truly productive.
3. Read Aloud (3:36): Use multiple senses by speaking the material aloud to improve retention.
4. Shrink it to One Page (4:12): Condense entire chapters into a single summary sheet to force your brain to filter what truly matters.
5. Interrogate/Ask Questions (4:52): Instead of memorizing, ask "Why?" and "What if?" to build logical hooks into your memory.
6. Cuòtíběn (The Mistake Notebook) (6:24): Maintain a notebook dedicated solely to missed questions, focusing your revision on gaps rather than known material.
7. Yǐ Jiào Cù Xué (Learn by Teaching) (7:12): Explain concepts aloud to an imaginary audience; the points where you stumble are exactly where you need to study more.
8. Shěntí (Detective Question-Reading) (9:00): Carefully analyze questions for command words (e.g., "compare," "calculate") to avoid losing marks on technicalities.
9. Xīntài (Mental State) (10:20): Practice breathing and calm to ensure you can perform under pressure without blanking.
10. Fùpán (The Debrief) (11:24): After every test, treat your result as data. Analyze every error to understand the specific cause (lack of knowledge, misreading, or panic) so the same mistake is never repeated.

Sorry for the yapping here, but I wanted to share something.

I realized skill 9 when my phone died, and I was stuck at a mall near my school, which was far away from my home, waiting for my dad to come pick me up. I didn't know what time he was going to come, but I felt like I couldn't do anything at all without my phone. I mean, most of my exercises to practice were all in there—my calculator, my question sheets, and so on. But I couldn't just sleep in a mall alone either; my money was in my phone, so I couldn't get something to eat. To sum it up, there was absolutely nothing I could do. The feeling of not having anything to do felt really uncomfortable, but I remembered I had some practice sheets printed out in my bag and just sat there and did them. At first, it was frustrating when I encountered a hard question and couldn't ask Google or friends for help immediately. However, the longer I continued doing them, the less I wanted to get held back every time I didn't know the answers. So, I just wrote the answers I thought were right on a separate piece of paper and left the original paper blank. When I met my teacher at school the next day, I would ask about the questions I had trouble with. I have to say, I have never felt more productive in my entire life, despite being stuck on so many questions. I at least tried solving them myself before being given the answers, so the feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment was very strong. My concentration level was 9/10, which has never happened to me before, as I would get distracted by my phone very often. So whatever tips that say, "put your phone away from you," they really do work! If you have practice sheets on your devices, print them out. Don't let yourself have any excuse for accessing any devices! I love all of your videos; they're always great advice, and I always manage to pick up one or a few things that keep reminding me whenever I slack off. I can't wait to see more from you so my reminder list gets longer, haha! 🤍

I LOVED THAT PART ''EVERYONE REVISES THE 300 AND THE TOP GIRL REVISES THE 20...GUESS WHO
S CALMER?'' THAT PART IS SOO TRUE. BECAUSE I DON'T REALLY LEARN EVERY SINGLE LINE FROM THE TEXTBOOK. I JUST REVISE THE TOPIC AND MAIN ONE WORD QUESTIONS. AND WRITE THE ESSAY QUESTION IN OUR OWN WORDS, IT HELPS US TO UNDERSTAND THE TOPIC EVEN MORE THAN JUST MEMORISE IT!! AND TRUST ME...MY GRADES ARE HIGH, I'M A CLASS TOPPER. THATS WHY I COMMENTED BECAUSE THE TIPS ARE TESTIFIED!! FOR ALMOST 10-12 YEARS I'M USING THIS TIP
