Imagine holding cards like this raw and don't live in the US. I think an overlooked aspect for these rising prices for low pop graded 10s is because of how utterly impossible it's going to be to have them 1) graded as 10s and 2) to see their return to your location at all, lol. Theft during the mail. Grading company employee shenanigans (yeah there are many cameras but grading a mint Torch or Ray goldstar as an 8 instead of a 10 and then offering to buy it for that PSA 8 price is legal daylight robbery). And "trusted" middleman shenanigans e.g. even the highest trusted middleman is going to think twice about attempting shenanigans to scam the client if the batch is big and valuable enough.

Call me crazy for thinking this: I theorize that these low pop grails are going to end up with people who not only spend way more money than this amount on it, BUT will also spend money under the table through a channel tied directly to the grading company that graded it who in turn ensures that the low pop for that card they own remains low pop by misgrading mint old gen grail send-ins on purpose while being legally covered to do so. What's your take on this Mike?

SanDisk stock is the same; there are other select stocks too with insane gains. I would not say there is nothing like Pokémon cards.

I remember pulling the trigger for a zard star at 2021 seeing prices ONLY Going up I was afraid it was gonna get to the $500 mark and it wouldn't make sense to buy it if I wasn't gonna sell. I got it for $100 plus 3 card trade's. I regret not doing the same with Latios star but Proxy cards have gotten so good recently that I bought a few to compliment the binder where my Zard was on.

I honestly just can't go over a $100 for a piece of cardboard it destroys the philosophy on my collection.

One of biggest things most don't understand Pokémon vintage is considered a collector asset class means that its held on same as paintings and rest most can't understand it I called it in late 2000s most laughed

Everyone is reselling. I want to imagine that less than 1% are doing it to actually collect

This is a blatant case of artificial price inflation which will result in money laundering. Yall notice how every week something goes up an insane amount? This type of money is not moved by regular collectors at this pace. The market is being influenced by criminal organisations who hold these cards, inflate their prices and use those inflated prices to launder insane amounts of money. I can't prove it yet, but just look at price trends for mid era full arts now. In 2 3 months a lot of the 10s rose by at least 3-400% because modern is way to inflated and crashing. Stop buying this shit
