I am so happy I built my own home. I have none of these issues because I knew I would live in the house I built. I just reroofed my house and took my time and I have none of these issues.

Per the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) Standards of Practice, a home inspection IS NOT a code compliance inspection and is not intended to identify building code violations. An inspector who identifies or reports alleged code violations is operating OUTSIDE the scope of the ASHI Standards of Practice and beyond the intended purpose of a home inspection and the inspectors ablities. Code enforcement and code compliance determinations are the responsibility of the local authority having jurisdiction, not a home inspector.

Those poorly constructed structures are not safe for humanity much less insurable on a 30 year mortgage. <br><br>They must be demolished to the dirt IMMEDIATELY

Literally 2 seconds in, the siding is installed incorrectly. 20 seconds in, the painters painted right over the door hinges. Looks like they used door casings for baseboards. No hardware on the kitchen cabinets. No gutters or downspouts?
