  With all the bad things happening in the world, this channel reminds me that normal people just want to get along and enjoy life. The world is full of wonderful people. It’s just that sometimes we can’t talk to each other but speaking someone else’s language creates an instant connection.

  Nobody in Tokyo is &apos;shocked&apos; at a westerner speaking Japanese. Maybe there was a little surprise at the smooth fluency, but the real shock is from all of the time and effort they spent convincing the people that he <i>didn&apos;t</i> speak it, until he suddenly did. The shock was at the lie.
