I remember the 1st Super Bowl (that we won)..I was living in St Louis Missouri at the time. I was born and raised in New England but had moved to St Louis at 20 yrs old in 1992. Shortly after, they acquired the Rams from LA. Then 6 yrs later they won the Superbowl and were the “Greatest show on TURF!” My friends have an annual Superbowl Party and I had only been to a few but that year was different because everyone was excited about the Rams being in the Superbowl! I showed up and everyone was in their Rams jerseys. Not gonna lie.. I was happy for them finally winning a championship. Then a year later, the Rams go back to the Superbowl again but this time… my Patriots were there as well with a little back up QB named Tom Brady! I also showed up wearing my Patriots jersey!! All my friends were like “Wtf are you doing?!” 😂 I said “Did you guys forget that I’m from New England and the Patriots are my team?! I grew up watching them with my Dad, Brother and 3 Uncles!” Everyone laughed at me and said “Yall aren’t gonna beat the Greatst show on turf! The fact that Brady just happened to play well after Bledsoe got injured and your coach decided to go with him instead.. he’s a ROOKIE! He’s never been under this kind of pressure and there’s no way he’s gonna be better than Kurt Warner!” Let’s just say that I have a picture of 13 people in Rams shirts and jerseys and ME in the front wearing my Patriots jersey flipping them the bird with both hands and smiling with my tongue out!! 😜
