  If corruption is a crime, why are corrupt politicians not held accountable?<br><br>Is the law different for politicians who abuse their power or does the law apply only to ordinary citizens?<br>No elected representative should be above the law. If a politician is accused of corruption, the allegations must be investigated independently, the evidence must be examined in court and if guilt is proven, the person must face the full punishment prescribed by law.<br><br>Justice cannot have one standard for the powerful and another for the ordinary citizen. The law must be equal for everyone.

  Nagaland needs a strong ruling government and a strong Opposition for a better future. There are many important questions that need to be asked, but when everyone is on the same boat, who will question the government? Democracy works best when there is accountability, healthy debate, and a strong Opposition—not silence on important issues.
