Absolutely agree with you. Thanks for sharing all the knowledge you've gained . Im not sure if I want to breed yet . Giving myself another year to really become educated.  But we are spending the money to buy investment level snakes . If they end up being pets Ive got the best looking pets ever lol. I have to stop myself sometimes from buying just because one looks cool when it's not actually genetically valuable.  I searched " under $300" on MM and 1/2 the BP were in that category.  Most were  co dom cross hets. Maybe 1 visual/ress. So my deduction as a newbie is if you are going to breed ,purchase stock expressing no less then 2 visual recessive genes . My confusion is with some of the really hot co dom or in complete  genes that have no genetic test available.  Do you spend $2-3k on a baby like that now ? Especially if it has no recessive genes?

I bought like 5 normals het pieds like 20 years ago for like 80 bucks each hoping I could breed something worth 3k. Ended up having to rehome them before they were able to breed. My military time coming to an end got in the way of things. Since then I’ve bred fish, dogs, grown coral and even raised up a couple of human beings 😂 anyway, just came to say—all things considered and in my opinion—If you plan to reproduce anything, you ought to be able to care for it forever.. and do it for the love of the game. otherwise you might find yourself in a _situation_, to say the least.

i feel like you’ve gotta really chase things nobody is making or thinking of. &nbsp; If there is less than 10 listings on MM of that specific project animal i’d say it’s a safe bet but any more than that it’s a project that’ll sit on your store unless you’re pretty much giving them away.. &nbsp; &nbsp; <br>Only breed animals and projects if you truly love them and don’t mind looking after them their whole lives. if that’s not the case you’re in it for the wrong reasons.
