It’s honestly heartbreaking how quickly things are changing in 2025. Groceries, rent, insurance—everything’s up. It’s no longer just about budgeting, people with full-time jobs are falling behind.

America is a company, not a country. You have to be reminded of this

I’m a Brazilian living in the U.S. for many years, and I truly love this country. But life here has become too expensive.
Even working hard, it’s hard to keep up with the bills. In Brazil, things are cheaper, and with U.S. dollars, life there is six times more affordable. There are beautiful, safe places to live — just like here, you need to choose well. But in the U.S., living in a good place means spending a lot. In Brazil, with a smaller income, you can live well and have more time for family and peace.
So I’ve decided to go back.
I invite all my American friends to visit Brazil — even just once. You’ll fall in love with its beauty and warmth.

Many in Congress believe that being poor is a "moral failing." Thus, poverty is a cruel government policy.

Funny how when poor people get "free stuff" from the government, it's welfare or an entitlement, but when Corporations get money from the government, it's a "contract" or a "subsidy."

The term "America is the richest country" needs to be replaced with America has the richest people.

The amount of people living in their cars and vans working full time and can’t rent a flat or a house is pitiful

Rent rises. Prices rise. WAGES DONT. And they will just call you lazy as your rent raises from 500 to 800 to 1200 for an apartment

When they start talking about some random country overseas, just remind yourself “you’re 1 million times more likely to be killed by a local police officer” than by a random person living overseas.
