  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uQoTA7Py_YI&amp;t=750">12:30</a> cancel culture played a part in Etika&apos;s declining mental health. That&apos;s ridiculous for anyone to say it had nothing to do with what he went through. Is it the only factor? No. But anyone who lived through that time should remember how bad cancel culture was then, and ESPECIALLY how much Etika was targeted. It 100% contributed to his declining mental health. His episodes were entertainment, and the hate fueled the fire. He even talked about the toxicity of online culture in his final video. It was a tragedy and Matpat trying to shed light on the part internet culture has on mental health was an important nuance talking point at that time. Acknowledging Etika&apos;s mental health does not erase the impact of his environment had on his mental health.<br><br>ETA (morgan &amp; morgan)

  Yeah, I&apos;m not a Markiplier fan, but I respect the guy and what he does. He was a YouTube OG. He&apos;s stayed true and fought many things, yet he hasn&apos;t given up, failed, or let the world beat him down yet. Other OG&apos;s, they&apos;re either going through what he&apos;s gone through, already has, and will continue to face it. See, he&apos;s one of the last and few real OG&apos;s who either haven&apos;t fallen off or quit yet. Even if I don&apos;t find some of his stuff entertaining, I still respect this man and hope he doesn&apos;t fall off anytime soon.

  I caught a few Markiplier twitch streams when he still did them. &nbsp;There was a moment in one stream when he was getting a bunch of gift subs and bits. &nbsp;After shaking his head at the camera multiple times, he muted his collab and said &quot;Give your subs to small channels who need your support. &nbsp;Stop giving me money, I will wipe my ass with your money.&quot;
