  It's strange how everyone knows a rape victim/survivor, but no one knows a rapist. Jess has no reason to be ashamed for calling out a predator.

  What I prayed for was to out live everyone who harmed me.<br>At 80, that is exactly what I have done. I am finally free of them. I Thank God for his mercy.

  At 19 years old I was raped in an apartment building, as I was leaving a security guard stopped me and asked if I was alright, I stared at him and then said yes- I just wanted to get out of there. How I wish now that I had shouted NO. It has affected my entire life. I am now 75, I no longer dwell on this but all these stories have opened that door again - it never goes away

  I wish I could give you a hug, Jess. &nbsp;Your words are extremely powerful. I&apos;m a 37 year old man who was raped by a firefighter, of all people. Took me a long time to acknowledge what had happened. I froze too. I feel comfort in hearing you say &quot;it&apos;s because you have a really good brain that protected you and kept you alive&quot;. What you said about the response to rape is extremely important as well. I&apos;m so glad you said this. It&apos;s so important. We appreciate you using your voice, Jess!!! 💞
