i have to notice...Jet has a power to ruin Sonic's day just by existing within line of sight of him that NO ONE else has, not eggman even when he is enslaving entire alien species to make batteries, not shadow, nor any of the other villains he has fought. Jet is probably the truest rival for sonic in terms of Sonic actually treating someone like a rival and being annoyed with that person.

Finally, someone else who sees Lanolin's POV and giving them a defense. I'm not a Lanolin superfan, but she was overly hated.

1:35:18 Why is no one talking about how amazing Surge's development is growing from just a tagic villain to a self surving anti-hero I love how she finally realizes she doesn't just want to destroy everything for the hell of it and actually wants to be her own kind of hero, even if that means she's not on Sonic side and I like the idea of character who just remains neutral to the everlasting war between Sonic and Eggman

To anyone who might not know, the Orangutan while not officially named yet, he's been giving the fan name of Grease

I just realized Surge and Kit are just the sonic equivalent of androids 17 and 18

Clutch's plan was good on paper, but a few things backfired for him.
1-he had team sonic's boards sabotaged so as to get them disqualified, but this enabled them to figure that there was something off with cleansweep and that there was foul play
2-he had mimic pose as the phantom rider to make him look bad and flush him out, though Whisper noticed the differences and the Babylon Rogues, knowing Sonic, considered the possibility that cleansweep were the real villains.
3-he threatened Surge and Kit in order to get them working for him, but that only provoked them into betraying him and doing that stunt that put suspicion on Clutch

I enjoyed this arc honestly. While the stakes weren’t as high as previous chapters (until near the end), I appreciate that it gave some emphasis to other characters both from the games and IDW comics that aren’t as prevalent. While also adding some world building to the comics. And it’s cool to see how Clutch can be a threat since he has his hands behind many shadow organizations and is shown to be able to threaten and manipulate others pretty effectively to do his bidding. And even when he’s found out, he threatens to take everyone down with him by attempting to destroy Central City after sabotaging the Restoration shuttle. While I don’t hate Lanolin, I was still pretty frustrated with how she was handled in this story. She came off rather cold and rude at points. But I suppose she did realize her mistakes near the end. Plus, it was Mimic’s goal to destroy the Diamond Cutters from the inside. By turning them on each other. I just hope her and Silver have a chance to properly reconcile. (Side tangent, I wish the IDW comic volumes would release more often. Especially since they’re very behind the issues.)

This arc also helps get me excited for the upcoming racing game. It looks really fun and cool. Especially with all the new collab racers.

Does reading count as speed reading if you are speeding on the highway?
