What I have learned from these videos, I will never climb half dome. Absolutely no desire to “get to the top.” I like hiking because it is good exercise in nature.

He died because of arrogance. She died from following his every step. Raw natural areas have a way to weed out people who are invincible in the business world, and think that carries over to outdoor life. So sad.

I had attempted it at 50 years of age. When I finally got to the cables, there was a crowd holding on to cables all the way to the top. I knew it was a no go for me. I rested and watched in horror as people coming back down just ran down with no contact with the cable. The line going to the top never moved during the 45 minutes I rested.
