Ultimate sonic flash was the first sonic game I had played on a pc. It's accurate to sonic advance trilogies but had a good screen resolution too.

That 1993 one is incredible. I saw the full video linked in the description and it has a 3D special stage, and much more accurate momentum & jumping physics than many official 2D Sonic games, it's crazy.

It's impressive how accessible game development has become over the past 30 years, and especially how people have adopted this medium. Like, yeah, not every Sonic fangame is a winner, but there's a definite climb in quality over time as people have analyzed and optimized the process and how game feel really works. It's incredible, really.
