This man utilized every ounce of purpose God gave him and wasted no time walking the walk. He was brought to this planet to open up peoples' eyes in a profound, compassionate way. You can really tell he was close with Jesus and spent much time with him and studied his words deeply.

Near his death, King had his doubts rather or not black inclusion into a segregated society could work, but he still held on to his philosophy of a united brotherhood of all races in spite of the heated racial climate.<br>Close to the time of his death, King started to question the white status quo genuine commitment to grant Blacks racial equality, fair treatment and first class citizenship. He was mostly noted for his non-violent approach, but also his stance against poverty and war should be not only remembered, but saluted. It is unfortunate that his radical views on injustices for poor people in America, for black employees in the work place and for black soldiers in the Vietnam war could have resulted in his death. In knowing the severe consequences of voicing his views King could have remained silent, but yet out of love for not only blacks but others, he spoke out. For this, he deserves to be held in high esteem.

The greatest quote this man ever made is this: "The worst sin in life is this...to know what is right, and not to choose it."

He knew these were the last days of his life. He didn't know the exact date, but you can be sure they let him know that time was up. You can see a certain look in his eyes that literally goes Through the back of the room and into eternity. He is with us while he is speaking, but you can see the struggle. He is also in that space where one reckons with death. Even knowing that your fate is to be with God, this is a chilling thought for any person. But oh, look at the "mountaintop" speech. It is the same stare into eternity, but with a resignation that cannot fit in words. If this one was nearly a blank but very human stare as he tried to reach us while seeing well past, then the mountaintop was a look that said, I am ready; come with me. The courage is visible here.
