I just discovered this chanel --- Your are so right regarding planting bare versus summer container planting, I have been doing it for years with great results. Thank you for explaining why to keep canes horizontal. Yes, love New Dawn. Zephrine one of my favorites. Ramblers were all over my village I grew up in, they are the ones which started my rose obsession at 6 years old. I remember being so upset after the flush because as I learned I would not see them till next season. However, I think they are so misunderstood and unthought of in this generation and need the respect they deserve. Great video. Thank you.

I agree with planting them later, I planted 2 barefoot roses June 2nd and they are allready blooming. I was suprised at how well they are doing.

I'd like to mention Peggy Martin as an example of resilience. It also has pretty pink flowers and is nearly thornless.

To be honest I really appreciate Bring me sunshine by David Austin, but I know very well New Dawn and I couldn't agree more.
