Not to sound corny but as a geeky girl your videos are sooo refreshing because usually fem videogames never get this level of analysis and research, it's really nice to see someone who's not afraid of being the girly gamer that misogynists in geek spaces constantly yell about. Your passion in each video really shows and I can't get enough of it after seeing so many other youtubers dunk on whatever theyre covering with a cynical "guys im only invested in this ironically!" commentary gimmick, like omg you for real understand the heart of these characters!!

I haven't finished the video yet, but I want to thank you for being such a safe space. It was so nice to hear about Daisy's first VA's wife and her activism.
I wanted to mention that I was feeling bad gender dysphoria before this video, but this has calmed me down. Thank you. 💚

Rosalina girl here! Always chose her in Mario Kart Wii and always loved the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack, plus I'm a sucker for stars and rainbow road hehe. My husband says there isn't enough Rosalina info out there for a Rosalina deep dive, but quite frankly I think he's wrong and that you could do it if you wanted to xD

Thank you for telling Daisy's VA's story, especially right now when they want things to go back to this.

25:49 Personally, Daisy’s reputation as being a “tomboy” but in actuality being portrayed in all sorts of different ways is part of why I love and relate to her so much. She doesn’t fall into a strict category, she’s just herself. Shes changes and grows and expresses herself in different ways and I love her for that.

5:10 As a life-long Portuguese Mario fan, I applaud your research - you are quite literally the first YouTuber I’ve seen get their facts right about Sarasaland and Daisy’s relation to Portugal.

Some additional info you might find interesting: according to the only Portuguese source I've ever been able to find that develops the subject in-detail, not only did sarasa became a largely-lost art form across the 19th and 20th centuries in Portugal, but apparently also in Japan - in both cases due to those who practiced it (mostly poor Christian artisans) in rural areas slowly dying out. I understand being inspired by what the developers perceived as an "exotic", rural art form - but it's still weird to me that they chose this out of probably hundreds of more well-known Japanese-international artistic collaborations.

Also, fun fact: it took me years to find this source because I was searching for the wrong term. It always bugged me how "sarasa" didn't seem like typical Portuguese spelling, until one day it hit me - "sarasa" is a katakanization; the correct Portuguese spelling is "saraça".

For some reason Miyamoto saying "I don't want to even see the mockup of Wapeach, I know your asses just drew Doronjo" is REALLY funny to me

ZackScott was such a legend in the age of AI slop, commissioning artists to make alternate versions of their Daisy art versus just poisoning the environment by generating images of them. Haven't seen him around in a long time but I hope he's doing well.

Also I love Daisy. Second main behind Peach but they work so well together. I'd throw my wallet at Nintendo for a spinoff game with them honestly

Suddenly realizing that a Peach & Daisy RPG akin to the Mario & Luigi games would go so hard.

EDIT: Haha, oh you mention exactly this moments later.
