  Nothing frustrates me more than when a game doesn't respect my time. I'm not slogging through 10 or 20 hours waiting for the game to get good.

  What happens a lot is I lose interest, then a year or two later I see it and ask "Why didn't I like it?" So I try it again, and since I'm already past the boring part I'm pretty close to when it gets good.

  You have to remember that quite a lot of the people who didn't finish the first section of a game didn't ever boot up the game at all. I have plenty of games in my Steam library that I bought while they were on sale and still haven't gotten around to playing them.

  Prey was fun because what other game will condition you to walk into a bathroom and immediately become suspicious of a roll of toilet paper, and then attack it. You know, just in case.

  It&apos;s really simple: <br>often they are events on Steam where lot of games in wish list are discounted (i usually wait for 30%), you buy lot of games and just test them that they work on your PC. <br>Then you focus on one game; and before you ever finish ALL the games, there is the next discount.

  Evil Within 2 sort of surprises me, especially since most people that play it would have played the first one. It was also a huge improvement in gun play compared to the first one, though I can see the open world pissing off a few people, since a lot of it felt like unnecessary padding to make the game longer.

  For me, it was Red Dead Redemption 2.<br><br>The first time I played it, I quit after about two hours because I thought it was too slow and boring.<br><br>I gave it another shot two years later with more patience, and I’m glad I did. it became one of the best games I’ve ever played.

  Steam is such a money machine because of this: people buy stuff that they wont use just because its seems cheap. How many people you think just fill in their carts at promo season on steam with a bunch of games before playing all they have bought last time? I would argue thats 100% of us.

  I always get a kick out of seeing the achievement completion when beating the starter area of a game (50-70%) and then seeing how many made it to the credits (~5%)

  Most people on steam, just buying game, testing it for 10 min and then stops saying &quot;I will play it someday&quot; and they never did.
