Manu in this case means Manu Vaivasvata (though he only after the flood became the seventh Manu) who before the flood was "king of the Dravidians" (= Tamils which means: in Kumari Kandam where the Tamils lived at that Time) and therefore is identical with Xisouthros of the Sumerian version of the Gilgamesh Epic, Atrahasis of the Akkadian version of this epic and Utnapishtim of the Babylonian version, who according to Berossos was the last of the ten kings before the flood. He survived the flood in a ship, landed in a mountain range and gained immortality from the gods.<br>The fish on the other hand seems to have a double meaning: it seems to be a hint to the seven sages who according to Berossos before the flood appeared in the shape of fish-men (whom he called Annedoti) and founded the three Sangam universities of Kumari Kandam. But it also seems to mean the constellation Keto which the ship of the later Manu was following in the flood.
