After seeing Phil play multiple times, I finally had the opportunity to talk to him for 10 minutes after a NAMM event and it was definitely core memory. Phil represents the raw, exciting, funny, classic rock and roll vibe that is missing from so much of the music industry these days!! ☮️❤️🎶

A band with Phil and Satchel would be sick! And their amps could all have VIOLENCE knobs! 🤟🤟🤟

Phil X convinced me from his FrettedAmericana video of a 59 LP TV Yellow Junior "van halen time" to seek out a single pickup Junior. Before that I thought I needed all the pickups and all the switches for "Versatility!". I found a beat up $20 Epiphone Special Junior, leveled the frets and rotated the humbucker so the screw poles cross the strings where P90s cross and raised the screw poles (gives a chunky humbucking P90 tone), and that guitar doubled or tripled my guitar playing skills. Now I have more single pickup guitars "in the fleet" than any other style. Thanks Phil!

Phil is the genuine article. All gas, no brakes and has a smile the entire time. Met him a couple of times and is the coolest fellow. He plugs in for a demo or in front of 60k fans and it is the same effort and energy! Love him!!
