To the videos creator, if the Marina was so bad can you explain why over 1.2 million were sold worldwide and sold well for it's long production period ? And elsewhere outside of the UK itself they were mostly not fleets but private owner's who generally liked them and served well for many years. In reality they were as reliable and durable as anything else made anywhere else.

With the robin they forgot about the chassis being steel.

In the garage/panelshop where I worked fixing these horrors, I called The Allegro All’agro what a pile, the real horror story was an old Austin 1100 with its rusting rear subframe and support panel inner and outer sills and rocker, floor pan plus if that ain’t enough those trumpet like rails under the wings which was to support the inner filtches. I could go on, an old 1100 was awful. All British cars were plagued by rust, even Jags, I put a new floor pan in an E Type once. XKs chassis would crack behind the lower front suspension arm pivot point. No British car was immuned from body or mechanical failures in their time.

I was in a bond three wheeler van when it rolled,

Never owned a Firenza, but I did have a 2300 Magnum which I thought was way better. Had an Austin 3 litre, huge inside but fast. Suspension was a pain in the ass.

No sane designer of a three-wheeler puts the single wheel at the front. End of discussion It's not a Victorian ea invalid chair.

Princess...WHY??????? Marina estate was a true workhorse. Austin Allegro or as we called it Rust and all aggro, or more commonly 'Egg Roll' The most fugly car ever built!

So why did my father have a 1300 Allegro for 4 years without a problem, and why did I have a '75  Allegro HL which did excellent service for 50,000 miles without a hitch? Simple answer- you weren't there,  never had one, never drove one and therefore know nothing at all about them.

To the video creator- our British cars were good, stop knocking them and perhaps concentrate on some of the rest of the world's cars which weren't so good and were terrible. I find this type of reporting to be very innacurate untrue and grossly unfair. Were you actually around when these cars filled the roads ? Not just of Britain but much of the world .
