Everyone who has NEVER served and gets all excited and rah rah rah about war should watch this documentary. I have many chickenhawk friends and colleagues who have never served or would even want their children to serve get all excited when we start some war somewhere.

Makes me think of the song "I will always think of you" and the Bojack Horseman episode in which I first heard it...

My grandfather told me before I joined the army The boy spends his life wondering what wars all about but once he goes he spends the rest of his life trying to forget “. That’s a true as anything he told me.

Its wild sitting here seeing these pictures, brings back alot of memories of buddies that didn't make it back, of some rough times, of the brotherhood. Still to this day I have no idea what I fought for in Iraq, and the disappointment of how the withdrawal from Afghanistan was handled by the leaders that sent us there. Semper Fi

I think that what these veterans have done for their fellow fighters is awesome! However, I think that the cost for all of the harm done to our fighters should be paid for by the politicians who send them to fight, particularly when the United States itself is not being threatened. Maybe then the President, their cabinet, and Congress would think twice about what they are asking the young men (and women) of our country to fight and suffer for.

Imagine the US spending such budgets and invest so passionately for education as they do to fight other people's wars.
