    The most fascinating part of Stalingrad is that while the Germans fought desperately for the last few hundred yards of ruined city, the battle was actually being decided far behind them on the weak Axis flanks. The Sixth Army captured almost 90% of Stalingrad, yet Operation Uranus turned that apparent victory into a trap that ultimately destroyed an entire field army.

    Paulus was a self serving coward. He didn&apos;t break out in case he got shot for disobeying Hitler. He killed 250,000 of his own men to save his own. &nbsp;Disgrace!

    Yakov Pavlov a Real Hero ? Or did have Fear of NVKD in the back of his mind ! &nbsp;I think because of the Mass encirclements NVKD even threatened Soviet Soldiers Families if they slowed &nbsp; Stalin&apos;s Order &quot;Not One Step Back !!!!
