that hour or so when the sun rises but hasn't hit the driveway yet is the sweet spot. Always so quiet and peaceful and having time to not rush due to direct sunlight makes it super enjoyable. Great way to get your day started

No doubt I agree on driving a freshly washed car. I find that I'm also in a better mood after

I totally agree that I feel better after driving a freshly washed car. My neighbors must think I have a complex because I detail both my cars once a week. 😂

There's no way anyone can do all that in 30-40 min or even an hour. Looks killer though.

Great video Larry. I like the way you presented it, showing that you don't need to drag out all the pressure washer equipment for every wash and can get just as good of results using a garden hose with a minimalistic nozzle and a few proper chemicals. Pressure washers are fantastic pieces of equipment to have around, especially if you are fortunate enough to have one mounted on your wall in your garage, but many folks only have the garden hose set up, which I actually still use on many of my maintenance wash sessions, only bring out the pressure washer for heavier dirt and grime after a road trip or something or if for some reason I haven't washed my vehicle in a few weeks time. I always tell people, FREQUENCY of the cleaning sessions, meaning every week or bi-weekly, whatever, is one of the most important things to keep your vehicle(s) looking new for the life of the vehicle. As you certainly know with your decades of professional detailing experience, having all the fancy chemicals and specialty products is great, but if you only wash your vehicle once every couple months, you are always having to do a lot more work to remove the dirt and grime, and are much more likely to inflict the marring and micro scratches onto the paint, rims, glass, plastic trims, wherever. I have a very similar maintenance wash process as you show here. We do have a significantly more amount of detailing products today than just ten years ago and it seems like every week, yet another "best of the best" is released. It's mind boggling how many detailing products and tools are available today. It's almost too hard to traverse them all and make a decision on what you want to purchase for your own detailing cabinet or shelf.

Thanks for the video Larry! A lot of detailers and YouTube videos overcomplicate the process and actually make “normal people” want to /avoid/ washing the car rather than encourage them to do so. Pressure washers, foam cannons, 10 different soaps/mitts/towels/brushes, etc., etc. Sometimes keeping it simple is better than making it overly complicated. This video is something I would send to a friend that wants to get into DIY detailing without spending 100s or 1000s of dollars on products and equipment.

Used to take me the entire Saturday to wash the car. Definitely therapeutic 👍

A clean car is a happy car, and a happy car is clean! Sundays are reserved for cleaning and detailing my vehicles. It is a form of therapy.

Used your stuff for the first time last weekend on my E46. I did not expect to be so blown away. Not only does it function amazingly well, it smelled like I was hanging around a bunch of beautiful, wealthy, great-smelling people.
