Don King told Mike to sack Rooney, and then placed his yes men in position. All head movement ceased from Mike after this, and he started accepting the clinch. Fun fact, King actually bet his money on Douglas in the Tokyo fight at massive winning odds of 42/1. All of us who watched that fight know Douglas was down for 13 seconds but only got counted for 10, strange. Tyson was becoming increasingly disillusioned with fighting and saw it just as a payday and totally disregarded legacy. Surrounded by King's low life's the writing was on the wall, out partying all night lack of regiment, and with all ties to the recently deceased Cus now gone from his camp it was just a matter of time, Don King made sure of that. This was the time when Mike was most vulnerable an needed friends around him, not these hangers on.

This is the time when his downfall slowly begane. No Cus, no Rooney, no real trainer, no real team Tyson. Only Don King, Robin and her mother and only MONEY!!! He destroyed Bruno and Williams and leeches around him push him in fight without any training, any prepare, with no desire for boxing and rest is history. Even and that Tyson, not prepared, out of shape, booze, coke, sparing partner drop him Tyson, is ko'd Buster! But no difference... He already wasn't that Tyson anymore(absolute champion) Still, after all that, he is a legend! And legends don't die! Serbia

Boxing was at it's peak during the 20th century. Everything now days is just tech and it's hard to see sports rise in popularity.
