So a Bobby fan played the american opening with stolen chair variation against the world champion and lost to the German defense.

If someone asks me "What do you mean by good stuff?", I will refer them to this video.

Unless I am mistaken this is the third upload of the day. What’s the idea here? Rewarding your excellent subscribers? Thanks very much.

That poor chief arbiter. Had so much to deal with during this match lol

I genuinely feel bad for Spassky. Being kind and super considerate and having to deal with the stressful games and also Fischers shenanigans and then some blown fan steals his chair? Spassky never lost his kindness either

I could not have known back in 1972 that 46 years later someone would be analyzing these games for me in such a clear and enjoyable manner. Then, I was just a teenager new to chess (thanks to Bobby) and struggling to make sense of these games. Thanks for the nostalgic trip down memory lane.

The drama in this series itself is much better than many of the movies made in the past decade.

You know that you're a chessnerd if you steal a chair for your favourite player to win the game...

Of course being able to swivel in your chair is a huge advantage. How could the referee have let this happen ?

It was games like this that taught me to develop pieces first before going into concrete variations. Black's rook stayed on h8 for the entire game.
