Small point " when American forces liberated Italy..."<br>It was liberated by Allied forces, including those from my country New Zealand...I had an uncle amongst them as well.

Yamashita was hanged for the wrong crime. He had something of a defense in the Philippines...But when his forces captured Singapore many Chinese were murdered along with patients, nurses, and doctors at a large hospital. He was never tried for that... He deserved to hang for that... YP

Kesserling who was Dostler's superior, approved these executions should have been shot also, but he had fan boys in the British army.
