I was suspicious that there was some kind of plan last year for dewana take advantage of the fever cuz Phoenix couldn't afford her at the time to start the season but they ended up with her anyway. Now I'm suspicious that maybe maybe she's figured out another way to do something and the aces are stuck. Wouldn't surprise me if they looked around the league and decided "Hey, she might be helpful..."

the precedent was set when stephanie white was let out of her contract with connecticut to "be closer to her family" just to immediately be hired on as the fever head coach. why hasn't anyone done a deep dive into how all that went down? no coaching search, just a straight coronation.
